Officials C and MotoRef Class: July 24/25th, 2010 in Erwin, TN.

There will be a USAC Level C Officials course and a MotoRef course on the weekend of July 24/25, 2010 in East Tennessee.

Moto C Class: Saturday April 24th, 2010 in Crossville, TN.

This is an eight hour class and it will be taught by Frank Mackzum. This class is required for officials who will be riding a motorcycle as a pilot or passenger. Please contact Frank Mackzum if you are interested.

USAC Officials Clinic & Meeting: March 6th, 2010

There will be two USAC officials meetings on March 6th, 2010 in Pleasant Hill, TN (just west of Crossville).

Cat C Officials Class
Time: 7:30am - 1:30pm CT

This is the entry level class required to become a Category C USAC Official.


Mandatory Officials Meeting
Time: 2:00pm - ? CT

This is a mandatory meeting and is required for all USAC Officials that plan on working races in 2010.

Topics include:
*** Assignment of Chief Referees for all events
*** Discussion of new rules and interpretation of old rules

Upcoming Moto C Officials Clinic

There will be a Moto C Officials Clinic in the Atlanta area on Sunday Feb 21st, 2010.

Chuck Hodge, a National Comissaire with USA Cycling, will be teaching a Level C Motoref clinic in the Atlanta area on February 21, 2010.

You do not need a motorcycle license for this clinic but you do need this certification to be an official riding as a passenger on a motorcycle.

The fee for the course is $25, and participants will need to register with Stuart Lamp.

Upcoming Category B Officials Clinic

Vicki Mackzum will be teaching a USAC Officials B Clinic in Pleasant Hill, TN on October 10-11, 2009.

Oct 10-11, 2009.
Both days will start at 9:00 AM CT and go until finished

Anyone interested must submit a complete resume of all work done as an official to Vicki Mackzum ( mackzumv@frontiernet.net ). The resume should include the date of the race, the name of the race, what type of race was worked, and what position you worked at the race. Applicants will be notified if they meet the requirements for the upgrade.

Upcoming USA Cycling Moto Ref Clinic

Chuck Hodge will be holding an officials clinic for anyone interested in becoming a motorcycle referee. A full day of instructional material will end with a test. In order to take the class, the person must have a Cat C Official's license. The course is highly recommended for any official, whether they are driving or just riding behind someone else. You do not have to be a licensed motorcycle rider to take the class. There is a minimum of 10 people needed for the clinic, and this is the first time the clinic has been offered in Tennessee.

$25 fee includes food, materials, instruction. Soft drinks, lunch, and snacks provided.
